Arching stems with lance-shaped leaves of green and edged in gold are topped in late summer and early fall with white, orchid-like flowers covered in purple speckles. Plants grow 24-30″. An East Asian species with upright purple flowers that open in late summer — earlier than Tricyrtis hirta which bloom in fall.
