An attractive groundcover with basal foliage growing only 4-6″ tall. Beautiful naturalized with other low-growing and low-spreading natives like violets, celandine poppy and Virginia bluebells. Naturalizes into large colonies in optimum growing conditions by self-seeding and underground stolons. Blooms well in shady locations and tolerates some soil dryness.
