Onions are easy to grow and perform best in well-drained, slightly acidic, fertile soil in full sun. Onion sets should be planted 1 to 2 inches deep and 2 to 3 inches apart. Once plants begin to grow thin them to 3 to 4 inches apart. Plants thinned from the row to create room can be used as green onions.
Red Karmen — also called Spanish onions, Red Karmens can be used raw in salads as well as cooked.
Sturon Yellow — Completely round, brownish-yellow bulbs. Excellent sweet flavor. Resists bolting. High yields of easy to grow onions. Best storing. Great for green onions or for cooking onions.
