‘Bright Sunset’ produces 6″, highly fragrant flowers the color of a tropical sunset: burnt coppery-orange self with a golden orange band and small, deep green throat. Petals have prominent gold midribs and tightly ruffled edges; sepals have smooth, gold edges. Vigorous grower with healthy dark green foliage. Blooms in midsummer. Extended bloom–flowers last at least 16 hrs. each. Tetraploid

Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).
