Indian blanket

Gaillardia pulchella

Indian blanket is a bright native annual! It is easy to establish in dry to medium, well drained soil in full sun and it thrives in dry or sandy poor soils. It will not tolerate having wet feet. Indian blanket flowers through the whole summer with a profusion of showy 1″ wide flower heads, in shades of red tipped in yellow. This is a self sowing annual and is a great addition to native gardens.
