Dark purple, fragrant flowers are produced in dense spikes held at the ends of the arching branches and contrast with silvery-green foliage on compact plants. Foliage is persistent into winter, making a nice contrast with dried grasses and woody stems.
This series of plants was developed by Thompson & Morgan in a quest to create new hybrids that were more compact and easier to grow in the modern small garden. After 8 years of breeding and selection, the Buzz™ series was born.
Butterfly species attracted include Monarch, Buckeye, Black Swallowtail, Tiger Swallowtail, Pipevine Swallowtail , Snout Butterfly, Great Spangled Fritillary, Pearl Crescent, Red Admiral, Painted Lady, Common Checkered-Skipper, and other Brush-footed butterflies.
