‘Blue Paradise’ tall garden phlox

Phlox paniculata 'Blue Paradise'

Among the bluest, flower color changes markedly according to different light conditions. The flowers are a medium purple by day but change to a bright violet-blue at dusk and dawn and during cloudy days. Partial shade will preserve the deep blue color longer through the day.

A prolific bloomer with a spicy, vanilla-clove fragrance. Very mildew resistant foliage. Deadhead to prolong blooming.

Introduced by Dutch nurseryman, Piet Oudolf, in 1990.
