Perennial Plant Association 2004 Perennial Plant of the Year!
Striking silvery-grey fronds are dusty purple towards the center and set off by the purplish-red veins and stems. With a low and mounding habit, it slowly spreads by rhizomes to form dense colonies. The fronds are positioned in a way that creates a horizontal layering effect similar to dogwood trees. A showstopper for the shade garden.
