This native plant grows in moist woodlands. A tall, bushy, plant typically with ferny, dark green foliage and showy, plume-like spikes cream-colored flowers in early to mid-summer, this selection is more compact than the species. Somewhat similar in appearance to astilbe.
NATIVE TO THE EASTERN HALF OF THE US AND WESTERN COASTAL STATES.
