Sageleaf Willow Iceberg Alley™

Salix candida 'Jefberg'

Iceberg Alley™ is a native plant discovered by the Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador Botanical Garden. Silver foliage makes excellent garden contrast and texture. This rounded shrub does not overtake the landscape, reaching a height and spread of about 5′. Silver catkins appear in very early spring with red stamens and nectar for pollinators. Tolerant of moist soils and a good choice for rain gardens, sageleaf willow grows best in full sun. A more reliable and long-lived silver contrast plant than ‘Powice Castle’ Artemisia.

Early spring stems make wonderful floral arrangements.
