hairy mountain mint

Pycnanthemum verticillatum var. pilosum

This fragrant native spreads by rhizomes readily. Small white flowers on branched spires are packed with nectar — all kinds of pollinators swarm this plant, including bees, wasps, flies, beetles, moths, and butterflies.

This and Pycnanthemum muticum are two of the best perennials we have for attracting pollinators.
