Round blades curl as they grow. Interesting foliage for containers, but also a hardy bog-loving perennial. Can be wintered indoors when kept adequately moist and in a sunny window. Also a great plant for water gardens and poorly draining locations as a landscape plant.

This cultivar is a horticultural selection from Japan; the species type, however, has a wide native range encompassing much of the Northern Hemisphere, being found in North America, Europe and Asia; Juncus effusus is native to East and Southeast Texas.
