Huge 7-8”, slightly cupped pure white flowers have a scarlet red eye that bleeds a little way onto the slightly ruffled, overlapping petals set brilliantly over deep bronze-purple foliage. Flowers are produced from the top to the bottom of the plant, rather than only at the top like some older cultivars. The bright lime green carpels that hold the flowers contrast nicely with the deep bronze-green foliage. The thick, leathery, maple-like leaves form an upright and full clump that makes a fantastic specimen plant for sunny landscapes.
