Easily grown with consistent moisture in well-drained soils in full sun to part shade, although best flowering is in full sun. Prefers moist, acidic, organically rich soils. Shrubs have some tolerance for clay soils with good drainage. Remove root suckers to prevent spread. Prune in spring after flowering to control shape and size.
