Dipladenia

Mandevilla x hybrida

Mandevilla vines have become one of our favorite container plants! Adaptable to any light, tolerant of heat and wind, and seemingly unaffected by a forgetful waterer, these beauties flower from spring through frost and make gorgeous combinations with other blooms or stand alone. Grow them as a tumbler or on a trellis or fence.

Available at the nursery, individually potted or in bowl and hanging basket combos!

‘Opal Red‘ and ‘Opal Pink’ are moderately-fast-growing tropical vines with glossy oval, deep-green leaves and showy 3” wide, trumpet-shaped, brilliant red or pink flowers throughout summer that attract butterflies and bees. Great on a trellis as an accent in beds, borders or planters, and makes an outstanding container or hanging basket specimen. Thrives in a rich, well-drained, evenly-moist soil, and prefers a partial sun to light-shade exposure. Heat tolerant and showy!

Madinia® ‘Max Red’ and ‘Opal Pink’ are a compact cultivar, with vines only reaching 12-18″. With their stunning display of blooms and very manageable size, they make the perfect well behaved tropical planter.

Sun Parasol® Giant mandevillas have excellent disease resistance and produce even larger flowers. They have a vigorous growing habit, coarse foliage, and are natural climbers suitable for patios, balconies, and landscaping in sunny areas. Plants produce large flowers that span 3 to 5 inches.
