Wild chile native to Central America, Mexico, and southwestern US. Extremely hot, measuring between 50,000–100,000 Scoville units. Thought to be the oldest Capsicum annuum species, one of the top 3 hottest, 8 to 10” bushes produce loads of pea-like, 1/2” fruits.
