Frans Fontaine Hornbeam is a dense deciduous tree with a narrowly upright and columnar growth habit only 10′ wide is perfect for smaller landscapes; it takes pruning very well and can make a fantastic hedge. Forest green foliage throughout the season, and outstanding gold in the fall. Smooth gray bark adds an interesting dimension to the landscape. A relatively low maintenance tree.
