Cousin to purple poppy mallow, Bush’s poppy mallow requires sharply draining soils in full sun to light shade and grows taller. May self-seed in the garden in optimum growing conditions. Long tap root gives this plant good drought tolerance but makes transplanting of established plants difficult. An excellent rock garden plant.
