A medium-sized suckering Aloe with many upright stems of open rosettes up to 2 feet with narrow, medium to dark green leaves that turn a beautiful coppery red in summer. Tall spikes of bright orange-red flowers appear from late fall into early winter.
Like other succulents Aloe should never sit in stagnant water. Water generously in the summer and do not water in the winter. Prefers warm temperatures, but will survive down to 40ºF. Slow-growing and only rarely needs repotting.
