Lazlo Mardis is certified in permaculture landscape design by the Kansas Permaculture Institute. Kansas Permaculture Institute certification signifies completion of the Permaculture Design course offered by the KPI and denotes an understanding of holistic and sustainable approaches to soil and food systems, as well as skills in ecological system maintenance and efficient resource utilization.
Permaculture is a type of landscape design that imitates natural ecosystems. Mimicking patterns and relationships found in nature, permaculture designs employ systems that don’t produce waste and optimize the productivity of available land, water, nutrients, and sunlight. Efficient maintenance and upkeep are an important part of the design.
During your site visit, Lazlo will learn about your goals for the space, take measurements, assess light, note other conditions, and design a permaculture plan for you. Designs start at $300.
Because designs are planned using our own plants, so you’ll never have to search for hard-to-find items when implementing your design. Plus you’ll have the benefit of being able to set up future appointments when you visit the nursery to shop.
Use your site plan to install your own landscape, or make arrangements for us to do the work for you.
Drawings take two to three weeks to complete in the off-season. Plan links are emailed when ready. Click to purchase a design appointment and Lazlo will contact you to set up your appointment!
