This South American subshrub will be looking good in containers in the heat of summer when some plants have lost their will to live! We grow it here as an annual, and it winters well indoors on a sunny windowsill. Crisp textured foliage and fragrant, true blue blooms look especially good in planters with silver and golden foliage plants like sweet potato vine, dichondra, silver plectranthus, licorice plant and coleus. Heliotrope also looks great in garden beds.
