alnifolia (Saskatoon) Prefers full sun requires minimal attention. Blue-green foliage, delicate 2” flower clusters and brilliant red and yellow fall color. Pea-sized purple fruits make fantastic pies and preserves. Great wildlife food source. Great native! 8-15’ tall. Zones 2-7

grandiflora x ‘Autumn Brilliance’ 15–25’ tall multi-stems forming a dense shrub, or if properly pruned in the nursery, a small tree. It is superior to the species in that it suckers less and is adapted to a wide range of soils, and tolerates some drought. Zones 4-9

Serviceberry changes form as the growing conditions dictate, forming shrubs at the edges of it’s normal growth range but growing into a larger tree form where it finds the space.
