Peters Family Farm

Baldwin City, Kansas

The folks at Peters Family Farm have raised produce on 18 acres south of Lawrence since 1995. Their gardens produce spring greens, onions, potatoes, garlic, summer squash, tomatoes, and other vegetables. They have a wood-fired clay oven for baking sourdough breads, and they offer other baked goods including cinnamon rolls, biscotti and some gluten and dairy-free items.

Their beehives contribute to the productivity of their crops and give them honey to sell. They grow apple trees, black raspberries, blackberries, gooseberries and rhubarb to sell fresh and to make jams, jellies, and fruit butters. They also purchase fruits from other local growers to offer a wide variety of fruit products.

Their line of body care products arose from a desire for more natural skin and hair care products for their own use, and they continually research and create new products in this area.
