Grows 50-60’ tall in cultivation. Narrow, pyramidal tree with pendant branches that ascend at the tips. Flattened bright green needles have silvery undersides. Brown bark cracks into scaly plates. Pendant 2.5” cones emerge violet purple. Cold hardy to zone 4.
